WalkCar - a new way to travel: Japan's backpack transporter

A Japanese engineer has invented a new way to travel: a transporter called the WalkCar. Small, light and apparently completely easy to use and suitable for carrying in a backpack, it is expected to transport its first passengers in the spring of 2016.

Twenty-six years old Kuniako Saito and his team at Cocoa Motors have recently introduced a transporter WalkCar, a “backpack car” powered by a lithium battery. The WalkCar is the size of a laptop and looks more like a skateboard than a car.
The slim WalkCar is made of aluminum and weighs somewhere between two and three kilograms, depending on whether it is the outdoor or indoor version. It can reach speed ten kilometers per hour and a distance of twelve kilometers (after charging it for three hours).
The WalkCar transporter is also expected to help push wheelchairs with ease. The light aluminum plate is stronger than it looks and can withstand the load up to 120 kilograms.

Among other things, WalkCar should be very easy to drive. When we step on it, it starts automatically. When we bounce, it stops. If we want to change the direction, we shift our weight in the desired direction. And the best? There is no need for us to worry about the parking space. WalkCar can be worry-free store in the backpack.
We will be able to reserve our version in the fall on the Kickstarter crowdfunding portal. A futuristic car should stand around 730 euros. Delivery will start in spring 2016.
