Holiday country Germany offers countless exciting and more or less challenging hikes with shorter stages, during which you can enjoy resting by the lake, visiting an animal reserve, a restaurant or a forest playground, so that all family members will be delighted with the trip.

It's a good example The 230 km Jurasteig hiking trail in Bavaria, which, with twelve stages and a manageable height difference, represents a wonderful route for people of all ages. The route will lead you along alpine paths and across meadows, you can stop in one of the dreamy traditional villages, visit the Räuberhöhle cave and you roam the moors. Among the local attractions are a deer enclosure and numerous castles and monasteries. Another great idea is to take a boat trip to Weltenburg Abbey and regain strength with culinary delights.

One such path is Schluchtensteig in the Black Forest National Park. The hiking trail in the south of the Black Forest runs close to the Swiss border; it is long 119 kilometers and leads past many pearls of nature concentrated in this area. It consists of six stages, with almost half of the route leading through unspoilt nature: along hidden gorges, past roaring waterfalls, steep rock walls and impressive views of the Alps. Along this beautiful route, there are also tourist attractions such as the famous Schluchsee at 952 meters above sea level and a cultural landmark, the cathedral St. Blasien.
