The Dacia Bigster 2025 enters the C-SUV segment with surprising confidence: the Bigster is spacious, robust and priced where most of the competition is still looking for a parking space.

Dacia has officially unveiled its latest and biggest model yet – Dacia Bigster 2025. This is Dacia's first entry into C-SUV class, where the competition is fierce, but Bigster already shows its muscles with its basic assets: size, functionality, hybrid drives and, most importantly - affordability without compromise.

With a price of 24,100 euros (in most of the EU) Dacia proves once again that “big” does not necessarily mean “expensive”. The Bigster offers up to 2002 liters of luggage space (with the seats folded), up to seven possible drive configurations, four equipment packages and, for the first time in Dacia history. For the first time in Dacia history – also adaptive cruise control!

Dacia Bigster 2025: first impression – an SUV for those who don't have time for nonsense

The Bigster doesn't try to be something it's not – and that's exactly why it succeeds. It's not a crossover in a tracksuit pretending to be an SUV, but an honest and spacious SUV that unashamedly takes its place among the bigger players in its class. Its design follows Dacia's fresh design language: sharp edges, characteristic Y-shaped lights and a redesigned logo with the DC emblem in the middle of the grille give it a robust yet modern stance. Its dimensions – 4570 mm long, 1813 mm wide (with mirrors 2069 mm), 1711 mm high and a ground clearance of 220 mm – place it right next to models such as the Skoda Karoq (4390 mm), Hyundai Tucson (4500 mm) or Peugeot 3008 (4447 mm), Ford Kuga, VW Tiguan.

The Dacia Bigster therefore clearly surpasses them in length, but in terms of price it… elegantly runs away in the other direction. Visually, it has enough confidence not to look cheap, but enough restraint not to scream for attention. The two-tone bodywork with an elegant black roof (standard on Journey) just rounds out the image of an SUV that will be desired by both rational buyers and those who care about style. Dacia has therefore created a model that flirts with larger models in terms of practicality and proportions, but remains true to its philosophy: offering more for less.

Dacia Bigster 2025 interior: the most important things without unnecessary ballast

Inside, the Bigster is simple, ergonomic and spacious – which sounds like Dacia's internal manifesto. Digital gauges are standard, and the central multimedia screen measures 10,1″ and is touch-sensitive in all versions.

  • Trunk? Until 702 liters (and up to 2002 l with folded seats).
  • Longest load? Until 2.7 meters length if you fold down the rear seats.
  • Space in the back? One of the widest in the class – even with two adults sitting in the back with a coffee holder between them.

The materials are robust, in the version Extreme even washable (TEP MicroCloud), and the seats are designed for long rides – with adjustable lumbar support, height adjustment and comfortable backrests.

Equipment packages: four characters – one philosophy

The Bigster comes in four equipment packages:

A variant Drive The price
Essential TCe 140 (petrol) from €24,100
Expression TCe 140 from €25,300
Extreme TCe 140 / 130 4×4 from €28,100
Journey TCe 140 / Hybrid 155 from €28,100 (TCe) / 32.000 € (Hybrid 155)

What stands out about the Dacia Bigster 2025 packages?

  • Extreme is more “outdoor”: panoramic roof, rubber mats, YouClip 3in1 system, hill descent control module, modular roof racks.
  • Journey it is more “business class”: two-tone body, electric trunk lid, electrically adjustable driver's seat, Arkamys sound system.

Powertrains: hybrids galore – and yes, 4×4 is here!

Dacia Bigster 2025 is the first Dacia model to offer four electrified powertrains, bringing the brand in step with the times – but in its own, rational way. The most powerful version is the Hybrid 155 hybrid drive, which combines a 1.6-liter petrol engine with two electric motors and a clutchless automatic transmission. The system provides a quiet and smooth ride and consumption of between 4.6 and 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers. In urban traffic, you can cover up to 80 % journeys entirely electrically.

A simpler, yet still modern solution is the Mild hybrid 140 version, which with 140 horsepower and a 48-volt system saves on fuel consumption (around 5.6 l/100 km) and CO₂ emissions (129 g/km), while retaining a manual 6-speed gearbox for lovers of classic driving.

The third option is the Mild hybrid-G 140, which uses liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline and allows a range of up to 1,450 kilometers with both tanks, while emitting 10 % less CO₂ than an equivalent gasoline engine.

The most interesting new feature for adventurers is the Mild hybrid 130 four-wheel drive version, offering 130 hp, a mild hybrid system and mechanical 4×4, ideal for mountain driving, camping and winter conditions. Dacia is also developing a 4×4 version with automatic transmission for 2025, which will be the first such model in the brand's history and will undoubtedly delight all those who want off-road performance without having to change gears.

Safety and smart features: Dacia, but smart

The Dacia Bigster 2025 also stands out from its much more expensive competitors in terms of safety, as it already offers a full range of advanced driver assistance systems. Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition with speed limit warning, driver fatigue detection system and eCall emergency call. Another special feature is the My Safety function, which allows you to activate all your favorite safety settings with a single press of a button - without unnecessary clicking through menus. Hybrid versions also include adaptive cruise control as standard, and the Extreme version also offers a speed control system when driving downhill. Given all of the above, we can rightly expect the Bigster to win at least four stars in the Euro NCAP tests - if there are five, Dacia will deserve special praise for breaking into a higher safety class.

Conclusion: Big, smart and (for now) affordable – Dacia Bigster 2025

The Bigster doesn't hide its character: it's big, robust, spacious and priced for real people. If you thought large SUVs were reserved for premium brands, the Bigster might be the moment you say: “Why would you?”

At €24,100, the story is just beginning – but even at €32,000 (for the most expensive hybrid) you get a lot. Including the fact that you can sleep in the car, transport mountain bikes, charge your phone without cables and have all the safety technology you find in much more expensive cars. This is a car that, if given a good safety selection, appeals to particularly rational buyers.
