Water is life, an unchanging part of existence. And if in the future they raise water levels to the point that our lives are threatened, we will have no choice but to somehow adapt. WaterNest 100 is a floating eco-house of the future, designed by Giancarlo Zerna Design Group.
WaterNest 100, an eco-floating house designed by Giancarlo Zema for EcoFloLife, comprises hundred square meters, and measures four meters in height. The house is entirely made of recycled laminated timber and aluminum hull. Balconies are located on both sides and large windows provide almost panoramic view of the surroundings. Skylights in the bathroom and kitchen fill the room with sunlight, sixty square meters of solar panels but with a power of 4 kWp it takes care of everything else. The interior of the "water nest" includes living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. The house can be adapted to different needs, such as: office, lounge bar, restaurant, retail store or showroom.
The WaterNest 100 can be installed along a river, lake, bay, atoll or sea area. Materials and a system of sustainable production make it possible to up to 98 percent of the house can be recycled. Natural micro-ventilation and air conditioning are used, which further reduces energy consumption. The ideal solution for those who want to live independently and in harmony with nature.
