Everything you need for protection is versatile beeswax (used in cosmetics, healthcare, to protect wooden surfaces...), but if you don't have it, it will do the job just as well an ordinary candle or tea light.

The process is quite simple. With a candle rub on the surface of the shoe, that it is completely covered with a layer of wax. Then you take hair dryer and melt the wax with hot air. This way you will shoe effectively protected from water and moisture. It is an alternative to wax and honey impregnation spray.
