Today is the day we honor women and celebrate having them in our lives. To this end, the Statistical Office of Slovenia played with numbers and prepared answers to the question of what the average Slovenian woman is like and what the differences are between women from different parts of Slovenia.
We entered 2018 with 2.006.880 inhabitants and among these there were more than half women (50.3 %). It is true that more boys than girls are born each year, but after the age of about 60 they begin to outnumber dominate women.
In all of them 12 regions were the more common names Maria (mostly in the Pomurje region) and Ana, but in general they are very popular names among Slovenian women May, Irene, Jožica, Teresa, Natasha, Mojca.
Average age of women is the highest in Pomurski region (46,6 years) and the lowest in Central Slovenian region (43,2 years), where there is also the highest proportion of female students.
Motherhood is a topic that still stirs spirits - when is the right time to have children? Female residents central slovenia and coastal karst regions are on average with the first child older than 30 years, and the youngest mothers are residents southeast Slovenia (28,3 years).
Among female residents of Slovenia aged from 20 to 64 year, is approx 70 % of working people. Female residents central slovenia regions also had, according to the latest data the highest average monthly gross salary (1876 euros), the lowest had female residents Pomurska regions (1453 euros).
They are with their lives the most satisfying women in southeast Slovenia (self-assessment 7.5 out of 10); approximately the same number of satisfied women in Gorenje and Central Slovenian region (7,4). The least satisfied are women in Pomurski and Posavina region (6,9).
Other attractions:
- The largest number is in the Gorenjska region of normally fed women (57 %).
- The largest number is in the Zasava region of overfed women (20 %), the least of them in the Carinthia and Goriška regions (10 %).
- The most pensioner is in the Goriška region (38 %).
- Most women goes to work in another region from the Zasava region (49 %).
- Women from the Posavina region se they recreate the least (38 %).
- In the Pomurska region, the proportion of female residents was higher education the lowest (every fifth), and the highest in the central Slovenian region.
