Extended weekend! How long have we been waiting for him - too long, right? You should definitely make the most of every day, whether you want to visit Trenta, an impro marathon, a Kranjsko Gora traditional run, or treat yourself to a one- or three-day trip!
Friday
So that we don't always start Friday with the day's events, given that we have another day off, we can always go on a three-day trip early in the morning. We choose between three beautiful destinations - one domestic and two foreign, just a stone's throw from the Slovenian border.
For a change, inner peace can be found in Trenti. It is beautiful in these summer days, especially in the morning when the mists creep over the hills. We can easily spend three days among the fantastic mountains, let's see the spring of the Soča, the fortress of Kluže near Bovec, we wander along the tracks of the Soča front and find more information about the First World War in museum in Kobarid.
We can liven up a one-time vacation with an adrenaline rush down the Soča river, skydiving or let's spice it up with music - in Tolmin these very days the reggae rhythms brought by this year's Overjam Reggae Festival. After the star of the festival, Shaggy, performed on Thursday, we can rock with The Skints and Lucian under the main stage on Friday.
Through Vršič, straight on Kranjskogorska 10ko. The Kranjska Gora Technical Association organizes a traditional ten-kilometer run from Kranjska Gora to Rateč and back with a group start at 6 p.m. In the evening, let's gather our strength for the official weekend.
Saturday
This week, like every week, brings a lot of exciting events. If we treat ourselves to a little longer lying down in the morning, we can use the day for 4. Garage sale in Park Tabor in Ljubljana, where we will again be able to happily bargain, exchange, sell and socialize. We will also be able to hang out in the evening at Improv marathon at Trnfest in Ljubljana, which will last as long as 25 hours, or watch the last movie under the stars in our favorite company. The preview of the sci-fi film Lucy will conclude the sixth consecutive Film under the Stars at Ljubljana Castle.
Sunday
If Sunday is not April, let's wave it to the White Krajina. There are fantastic hills above the river Kolpa, hikers like to go to the highest peak, Mirna gora. The former bell tower of the church of St. Frančiška next to the mountain lodge, which has been converted into a lookout tower, from where we will see a wide view from Gorjanci all the way to Bosnia. Only the weather has to be in our favor. Then we can soak our feet in Kolpa and have an afternoon picnic on the bank. Go to bed early in the evening, the coming weeks will be more and more busy.
