Every weekend something festive awaits us. While we were chasing witches last weekend, this week we'll be hanging out at the theater, feasting on good drinks, food and of course - great music on Martin's Day and jumping into space. Come on!
Friday
Let's reserve Friday night this weekend for more relaxed culture and wait until Saturday with dancing shoes. So, on the seventh day of November, we can wait for a superhero instead. In SNG Drama Ljubljana, there will be three projects under a common name Waiting for Superman presented by a new generation of Slovenian directors who are currently finishing their last year of study at the Ljubljana Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television.
If we or our youngest are interested in the secrets of Arab lands, we will meet at Pionirski dom at 6 p.m., where Dušan Tomić will read a fairy tale to us as part of With a fairy tale around the world. But if we are old enough to not only listen to fairy tales and remember the legendary Butnskala from the 1970s, then on the 35th anniversary of this cult radio play, we can join Kino Šiška at the presentation of the comic edition of the entire epic entitled Butnskala in comics.
And what better way to end a working Friday than in the SiTi Theater at the opening of the third season of the SiTi concert cycle for good men? The cycle opens with a legendary home song musical band Mladi levi, which will make sure that we get our fill of good musk.
Saturday
So that we don't spend the whole day in big preparations for Martin's feast, let's spend it in the morning with a walk to the market or watch one of the children's theater performances with the children. It will be performed at the Ptuj City Theater at 11:30 a.m a puppet show with Title Brave Molly directed by Marek Beček, and half an hour earlier, at 11 a.m., the performance Head Down and Feet Up will be held in the House of Children and Arts in Ljubljana for the youngest audience - children and toddlers and their parents.
The culinary day, which is written for us on Martin's Day, can also be brightened up in other ways. From 10 a.m. you can take a walk in the old town center of the capital Ljubljana wine routes and at almost 100 stalls we can taste the wine and culinary delicacies that this November "holiday" brings.
After dinner, we can invite friends to Prešeren's theater Kranj, where at 8 p.m. we will witness excellent Maria NDiaye's theater plays: Hilda or we put on the dancing shoes that were left in the closet on Friday. In Channel Zero, we will dance to unique new-wave sounds the band Merchandise, in the Cvetličarna, a top-class band will provide a boisterous musical evening fish soup group, and not far away in the Cinema Šiška will be playing the outstanding Dr. John.
Sunday
Let's keep our fingers crossed that the weather on Sunday will be less sour than they predict for Saturday. Therefore, if there are any rays of sunshine, let's take advantage of them for a walk with the children to the Maribor National Center, where we will certainly enjoy presents How to Catch a Star. It will be performed at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
But this autumn Sunday will be ideal for jumping into space. You can see the movie screen of Cankarjev dom between November 6 and 10 at 5:00 p.m. or 8:05 p.m. we watch Christopher Nolan's sci-fi adventure Interstellar.
