Where to this weekend #8/2015

Zlata Lisica, Bled Cup in winter swimming, Escape from the igloo, Volleyball tournament. It looks like it will be the sportiest and most eventful weekend of the month. Will it be true? Let's check where to go for the weekend, there will be more than enough joys of all kinds!

Friday

With the new weekend comes this year's already 51. The golden fox, which is considered a real Slovenian skiing holiday under Pohorje. Until Sunday, we will be able to follow the caravan of female alpine skiers, who will trudge down the snowy slope and compete for the title of Golden Foxes, and at the same time we will be able to enjoy three days with a rich accompanying program.

At the other end of our country, in Kranjska Gora, another winter madness is in store. The Enigmarium Escape Room team presents a reality game for two to five players Escape from the igloo, in which we have to escape from the igloo and "save the world". The igloo can be closed every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

And after we save the world...of course, we still have Friday's party waiting for us. To get some fresh air in different parts of Slovenia, we can go to Hangar in Izola at 10 p.m. for a dose of indie rock and modern pop played by the local band Koala Voice, KMKC Kompleks in Ravne in Carinthia will electrify the local duo New Wave Syria, and in MIKK on Murska Saturday they will be humming Vlasta Popić and Moscow.

Saturday

It doesn't matter if it's not summer outside yet, we'll switch beach volleyball this weekend for Snow volleyball tournament. This one is coming to Kranjska Gora on Saturday, when we will dress warmly and try our hand at a slightly different volleyball than we are used to. Even swimming in Bled will not be normal. For the fifth year in a row, Lake Bled is promising Bled Cup in winter swimming, during which we can try our hand at winter swimming and refresh ourselves in 5 degrees Celsius cold water.

A little warmer, but no less joyful in the capital, where we will have the opportunity to taste the unknown Russian holiday Maslenitsa. It is the oldest surviving Russian holiday, celebrated a week before Lent. In Ljubljana, we will be able to get to know him more closely at Maslenica festival on Pogačarjev trg, where we will also treat ourselves to real Russian pancakes in good company.

In the evening, in the pleasant company of wonderful melodies by a French musician Yanna Tiersna, who will flood Ljubljana's Kino Šiška with his new album ∞ (Infinity).

Sunday

If we have already started the weekend actively, let's end it like that. In Celje, we can try our hand at a team challenge Urban Gladiator, which will serve two routes full of various obstacles. Don't forget to register, the start is getting closer! We will meet in the City Park in Celje at 11 am.

After such a tense and sporty weekend, it will be appropriate to relax late in the evening at Oscars 2015. This year, actor Neil Patrick Harris will be leading them for the first time, and we will also follow the awarding of the prestigious golden statuettes live on Planet TV. Let's not fall asleep at work the next day!
