Why our relationship thrives when most others fall apart

Love is a rainbow of kisses and tears. Hugs and days when everything is not as you would like it to be. And when it rains, storms rage, you are my umbrella. An umbrella that we hold together and with which we dance through the rain until the sun shines.

We are not like some who do not listen to each other, have quiet days and withdraw for days, weeks. Our quiet days do not exist when silence comes, silence asks, a few minutes and a voice speaks. We communicate about everything, even difficult things.

You know me

No matter what's going on in my life, you can already feel it happening. You know me, you know how I act, react, what I need. You know what I like. You know my wishes, my secrets, my life, our life.

I'm not selfish

I know you need time to be with your friends. I know you need time to focus on your career. You never tell me not to be who I am. You encourage me. We encourage each other. I want you to achieve your dreams and you want me to achieve mine.

If I want to watch a romantic series, you let me, even if you think it's pointless. If you want to watch football, I'll let you, even if I don't understand it. We're happy to watch all of this together because we're together and that's all that matters.

You are my best friend

Our relationship is more than just intimate relationships. You can make me laugh without even trying. You know all my favorite things. You remember every story I ever told you about my childhood. More importantly, you can put up with me when I'm at my weirdest, most emotional, accept all the sides of me that are hidden to others.
