Windows 10 users finally got their account! They will be able to use the apps they use on their Android smartphone on their Windows 10 PCs via the "Connect to Windows" app.
Combining the desktop on the computer with the applications we use on the phone seems like a completely logical step. And Microsoft is aware of this, which is why they have been announcing a "complete fusion" for some time in cooperation with Samsung.
If you have selected Samsung smartphone models, i.e. those manufactured after October 2018, which have at least Android 9.0 and Link to Windows 2.0, you will be able to use the item practically immediately, and for all other manufacturers of phones with the Android operating system, the solution should also be available, but unfortunately we do not yet know exactly when. Either way, it's a big step forward, so it's worth remembering what your phone brings when it comes to using the operating system Android on Windows 10 computers.
Modus operandi will be extremely simple. The “Connect to Windows” app will find Android apps that can run through it. It is about "mirroring" the application in a separate window, directly from the mobile device. The case is integrated down to the last detail, as the new support for Android applications to the users of the system Windows 10 allows multitasking with other Windows applications through “alt + tab” support. These Android apps will even be able to be “pinned” to the Windows 10 taskbar or Start menu. Thus, they will be fully integrated as part of the computer and will run by connecting to the smartphone.
All this means that there is no need to search for applications anymore, but everything is immediately found directly on your phone, which makes the entire work experience much easier. And when applications are "pinned" to a specific location, they are even easier to find, creating the impression that two operating systems are part of one.
It should also be noted that not all applications will work without errors. Microsoft he already distanced himself and emphasized that some applications will work differently than intended, and he "imposed" some adjustments on application developers.
