Italian designer Riccardo Randi came up with a unique tableware for takeaway made of wood and plastic, which he called simply "Wood+Plastic", when creating an overall image for the restaurant.
Designer Riccardo Randi se is the concept for innovative cutlery already thought of when he designed the overall image of the Italian restaurant he worked for. In an attempt to find a suitable accessory for their dining room, quickly realized that the selection of eye-pleasing, aesthetic cutlery that guests can take with them is limited to a minimum. While designing for the restaurant, he decided that it was definitely the material he wanted for this type of accessory wood, as he finds it the most pleasant to the touch. But since looks aren't everything and wood has an unpleasant taste, he combined the best of both worlds and designed cutlery from reusable wooden handles and recyclable plastic head pieces. While the wooden parts of the prototypes of the collection “Wood+Plastic”, which is currently not in production, made by hand, plastic ones are made with help technologies of three-dimensional printing of nylon plastic.
