Did you know that the English language has one million, 25 thousand and 109 words? And among all these words, we still do not find expressions for certain feelings and situations that can be expressed in many other languages. British artist Marija Tiurina found a way to express these situations.
Maria Tiurina created a series of illustrations under the title "Untranslatable Words", which includes just 14 detailed illustrations, which express certain moments, feelings and situations for which we do not know the exact expression in the English language. Perhaps we could also find some expressions in the Slovenian language that cannot be easily translated into another language, so we could illustrate them.
See illustrations of words that are impossible to translate in the gallery.
