Inn Narobe

In a large old farmhouse built 500 years ago, in the old part of Trzin, right next to the main road, is the Narobe Inn. The inn has a characteristic architecture with a black kitchen, old bricks and arches, and is known among the people for its cuisine, reminiscent of the old days when food was prepared the old way, i.e. in an oven or on an open fire. Their recipes have been passed down from generation to generation, as the inn offers dishes from more than 150 years ago. They have preserved the traditional dishes of the Furman inns: goulash, tripe, pork and veal roast, but it is also possible to order other dishes on a spoon, szegedin, ričet, sarma, buckwheat porridge and stew or stuffed peppers. Everything is served with fragrant homemade black, wholemeal or corn bread. They were also among the first to offer horse meat specialties and the first in Slovenia to offer vegetarian food. Most of the menu is adapted to the season. In winter, they serve you homemade kolina, black pudding or roast beef with cabbage and turnip. In spring, they like to prepare lamb and kid, and they offer vegetables all year round, especially in summer. They also have a wide range of fish dishes, which they serve in their fish restaurant. You can choose from fresh fish from the Adriatic, mussels, scampi, and various seafood risottos and pastas. They can also boast a well-maintained wine cellar, where they store wines from all three Slovenian wine-growing regions. They are most fond of Styrian wines. Due to their high capacity, they can accommodate up to 170 guests, weddings, birthday celebrations and business lunches are welcome. They also offer accommodation, and there is a large parking lot in front of the inn.
