XPeng G6, China's electric knight in battle with Tesla Model Y, registers 25,000 pre-orders in just 72 hours

If the Great Wall of China was once one of the wonders of China admired from all over the world, today it is certainly the XPeng G6, an electric SUV coupe that is no less famous. With pre-orders surpassing the magical 25,000 mark in just three days, this mammoth achievement is comparable to a speed of 300 km/h.

XPeng G6 presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April, XPeng G6 quickly becoming a real threat to Tesla Model Y. Production started in May, and sales will begin on June 29. The first deliveries are already planned for July, which can only mean one thing: don't underestimate the speed of the chinese dragon!

Powered by 800V SiC architecture, the G6 offers incredibly fast charging, adding 300 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes of DC fast charging. And it's like trying to eat a giant Chinese hot pot meal in an hour - mission (almost) impossible. The company has yet to release information on battery capacity, but reports from China suggest that the G6 will be available with two battery options: a 66 kilowatt-hour Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery and an 87.5 ternary (NMC) battery kilowatt hours.

What excites you even more? So now you don't have to worry about losing battery on long journeys. The G6, with its 3C battery cells, offers a range of up to 755 kilometers. You can choose between a single engine model with 292 horsepower and a model with two engines with a car 480 horsepower. It is like having two sticks of bamboo instead of one. Twice the power, twice the fun!

XPeng went one step further with the G6 and incorporated mass-produced aluminum body casting technology in the front and rear, which means more safety, better NVH and better car handling. Who says that Chinese products are only made for one time use?

Although it is XPeng G6 made for the Chinese market, it will not remain limited to it. Plans for sales outside of China are apparently in the works, which means we may soon see Chinese dragons on our roads as well.
