If you've been hearing less noise in Ljubljana in recent days, it's not the fault of the security guard - it's Zeekr. Today, November 5, 2025, it officially enters the Slovenian market with the trio X, 001 and 7X, and sales will be handled by partner SEEAG. Premium tone, Scandinavian flavor, Chinese pace. Fasten your seatbelts.
Who is Zeekr – and why it is interested in Slovenia and other markets south and east. Zeekr is a premium electric car brand within the Geely group, founded in 2021. It builds all its models on the modular SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform and – importantly – develops and integrates much of the technology in-house: batteries, drives, energy management. It is expanding globally in Europe, the center of reach and expectations for premium EVs.
The core of development is in Europe, in Sweden, which is why the cars have a European soul and Chinese technology. Despite the fact that the entire EV platform is developed in Sweden at the Gothenburg R&D center. In short, it means: designed in Europe, made in China.

Lynk & Co as a sub-brand of Zeekr Group – creating new synergy
In November 2024, Zeekr announced the acquisition of a controlling, 51% stake in Lynk & Co; on February 14, 2025, the deal was completed and Lynk & Co officially became part of the Zeekr Group. The integration means shared R&D teams, purchasing, sales and service – and rapid growth of the market network to 200+ locations abroad. In translation: more synergies, less duplication, faster products.
Zeekr X – an urban hot hatch in SUV shoes…

The compact crossover on the SEA2 platform moves around town like an espresso with three short ones. In the AWD version, it develops up to 315 kW (428 hp) and 543 Nm (400 lb-ft), and does 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Top speed: 190 km/h (118 mph). RWD reaches up to 446 km WLTP (277 mi). Batteries: 69 kWh (Privilege AWD, Long Range RWD) or 49 kWh (Core RWD). Charging: up to 150 kW DC (10–80 % in ~29 min), up to 22 kW AC. Cabin? 14.6-inch screen, 24.3-inch AR-HUD, seven airbags and reinforced structural beams. In the local language: less stress, more smiles. Prices from 38,000 euros.
Zeekr 001 – “shooting brake” for long days and fast jumps

The 001 is a luxury shooting brake made for Europe: comfortable as a living room, fast as a “GT”. In the AWD version it can produce up to 400 kW (536 hp) and 0–100 km/h in 3.8 s; RWD offers up to 620 km WLTP (385 mi). DC charging goes up to 200 kW (10–80 % in ~30 min). Active air suspension (Privilege AWD) smooths out bumps, and SEA architecture ensures safety. Batteries? Most often 95 or 100 kWh (NMC), enough for serious kilometers and serious highway. If the X is a city shooter, the 001 is a marathon runner with an explosive finish. Prices from 58,490 euros.
Zeekr 7X – a family SUV that's not afraid of a sports watch
The mid-size SUV with 800‑V architecture is quiet, fast and surprisingly practical. The Privilege AWD delivers up to 475 kW (646 hp) and 710 Nm (524 lb‑ft) and 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds; the RWD Long Range offers up to 615 km WLTP (382 mi), the Core RWD up to 480 km (298 mi). Batteries: 100 kWh (AWD, Long Range) or 75 kWh (Core). DC fast charging 10–80 % in 13–16 min to 400 kW, while air suspension and “Off‑Road” mode increase comfort (–25 to +45 mm). 539 l of luggage space, 2,000 kg of towing capacity – and a fresh 5‑star Euro NCAP. The SUV for the family who likes to beat the clock on Sundays. Prices from 53,990 euros.

Security and Europeanization
All three models for the EU are based on the SEA platform and focus on passive/active safety. Zeekr X even won the title of “Best in Class” at Euro NCAP (Small SUV and Pure Electric Vehicles) in 2024, 7X and this year it confirmed 5 stars (91 % adults, 90 % children). “Chinese” with a European flavor? Rather global engineering mathematics with a Swedish signature. So something the Germans were afraid of. The moment when the Chinese will know how to unite the soul of Europe and the heart of China.
Commercial reality
For the sales/service backbone, Zeekr relies on its own and partner locations in Europe, and expanding the network is a strategic goal of the group together with Lynk & Co. SEEAG is operationally cooperating in Slovenia; the first points are in Ljubljana, with expansion to follow. Meanwhile, at the group level, accelerated integration of development teams and joint purchases are underway. It is also coming to the markets of Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and elsewhere in the region. Zeekr took the game seriously. First Benelux, Sweden and then other Scandinavian countries. Next year, they are expanding to the main EU markets, such as Germany, France, Italy. That is also why we Slovenians can be proud, because we are among the first, with access to products Zeekr.
Conclusion: breakthrough into SW markets of faith
Zeekr in Slovenia there is not another EV with beautiful renderings, but a trio that solidly covers real needs: the X is a sharp city trump card, the 001 is a GT station wagon that devours kilometers, and the 7X is a wide-mouthed SUV with the performance of a sports car. The technical numbers are serious (800-V charging at 7X 10-80 % in 13-16 minutes; X with 190 km/h; 001 up to 620 km WLTP), top-notch NCAP safety ratings, user “UX” logical in Scandinavian terms. Price ranges: X around €38,000, 001 from around €58,000, 7X between €53,000 and €64,000 – but of course depending on the market.
If you're looking for the quietness and acceleration you'd get in a supercar years ago, now you know where to go. If you want European design and "Chinese" tech
