In February of this year, the young guys walked the catwalk in Paris for the Rick Owens fashion house. Nothing unusual. But their Fall/Winter 2015 tunics featured strategically placed openings. That's right, in the genital area. So the boys in all their glory, without underwear, clearly showed what they hide down there. And this was only the first salvo in the world of fashion, which announced the trend of showing off intimate parts of the body - as samples or just intimate areas themselves. So Autumn/Winter 2015 will be hot (or bizarre?). Are we ready for some wind… between our legs?
Intimate parts of the body are apparently having some kind of weird renaissance for Fall/Winter 2015.
At a fashion show Rachel Antonoff in New York they presented cute clothes with motifs of pelvis and ovaries.
And it's in London Gareth Pugh ended his fashion show with a model in a formal dress topless and with a large waving flag in her hand. Christopher Kane he put women's dresses on display and decorated them with people hugging each other. If we looked closer, these beautifully embroidered lace figures didn't just hug each other. To top it off, Kane added a modest dress to his clothing line, where embroidered lace represented vaginas.
Of course, just like in life, nothing should surprise us in fashion either. It was in 1962 Rudi Gernreich shocked with a collection of swimwear - monokinis that were topless or had openings at the breast. And although he was John Galliano in 2010, he was not the first to propose bavtars for men: Eldridge Cleaver, who wrote the infamous memoir Soul on Ice, was a leader in Black Panther Party and also tried his hand as a fashion designer, he proposed clothing for male limb, which resembled a sock, and called the resulting garment "penis pants". Well, they won't be needed this year. This year actually men they don't need anything.
