The new Audi A5 and S5 focus on sporty elegance. Both convertibles retain the canvas 'hood'. The new Audi A5 Cabriolet shares most of its features with the coupe version, with the exception of the canvas roof, of course. Although they do not deviate much from their predecessors in terms of style, it is a noteworthy upgrade.
They are here the new Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet. The canvas roof remains (one-touch opening is new) - it takes 15 seconds to open and 18 seconds to close, and the 'bra' can be dropped at speeds up to 50 km/h – therefore they are lighter (on average by 40 kilograms) and larger than its predecessor.
The new Audi A5 Cabriolet has borrowed most things, both technical and design, from the new ones coupe representatives, because canvas roofs and they dedicated it to him larger airbags for the head and special aluminum profiles, which are activated in the event of an accident and thereby additionally protect the passengers. It is among the lightest and at the same time the most solid representatives of its kind. It has a 40 percent increased torsional strength, while engines develop 17 percent more power and consume 22 percent less fuel than before.
The Audi A5 Cabriolet will initially be powered by or 2-liter TFSI engine with 252 hp (185 kW) or 2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel with 190 horses (140 kW) or 3-liter turbodiesel with 218 hp (160 kW), and they will be joined later turbodiesel six-cylinder with 286 hp (four-wheel drive Quattro will be standard here, but it will be basically two-wheel drive) and gasoline four-cylinder engine with 190 hp.
The new Audi A5 Cabriolet will be five centimeters longer than its predecessor (4.67 meters), and the wheelbase has been extended by 14 millimeters. The volume of the trunk is now 380 litersv, and the rear seats can be folded down in a 50:50 ratio. The cabin is practically a copy of the coupe.

New ones Audi S5 Cabriolet received a 3-liter turbo gasoline six-cylinder engine with 354 horses (21 HP more than the current model), which enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h 5.1 seconds. The drive will be serial four-wheeled, and the speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h. Emphasizes sportsmanship multi-conductor coupling of the rear axle, which stepped into the shoes of the trapezoidal guides.
