Rolls Royce prepared a special metropolitan version of the phantom model for the Paris show. As is customary for such special limited series vehicles from this boutique English brand, only 20 examples will be produced. Special features are hand-embroidered logos made of 6,800 stitches and illustrations made of 500 miniature pieces of wood.
Metropolitan edition phantom it stands out from the Rolls Royce average by handmade details, whose paintings imitate the metropolis, and such details can be found both on the veneer, on the dashboard, as well as on the tables for the passengers in the second row, and also embroidered on the seats made of hand-quilted leather. Last but not least, also on the bodywork, where a special engraver applies a characteristic painting to the side of the vehicle.
So that you don't think it's a painting on the veneer, oh no, no...it's assembled from 500 pieces of differently painted miniature pieces of wood, for which a special the expert needs several days, to make the desired painting. Even at embroidered logo it's about a lot filigree production, as it consists of 6,800 two-color stitches, which together form a visible effect that mimics the shape of a skyscraper.
The clock placed in the center console in this limited edition phantom is also considered special, as its rock shows 24 largest or the most important cities and shows in which time zone they are located.
Potential buyers also have a choice 44 thousand color shades exterior bodywork, for whom even that is not enough, the special team at Rolls Royce can produces paint that imitates any color shade in nature, which the customer wants. How much all this costs remains a mystery, but it's certainly not cheap, because it is the "basic" phantom costs over 300 thousand euros, without the share that the state takes of course.
