Uber service in Slovenia

Uber says Slovenia is next! The leading provider of transport services, Uber, is expected to come to our lodges by the end of 2016. The controversial service, which has been present in neighboring Croatia for almost a year, has Slovenia next in its sights, said Davor Tremac, General Manager of Uber for Southeast Europe, on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum recently, who promises us a special surprise. Although the exact date of arrival is not yet known, it should happen before the end of the year. Taxi drivers in 'luft'!

Uber kicks up dust wherever it goes, and here it's likely to be no different. This year, Slovenians will receive just of two major innovations in the field of transport, as it also recently entered our market Hopin Taxi, which allows you to order a taxi via a mobile application. Same goes for Uber, except it's not a taxi service, but drivers who are Uber partners (self-employed or companies that meet security standards).

However, Uber is also coming to Slovenia.
However, Uber is also coming to Slovenia.

For transport, simply mark where we are, Uber will find the nearest driver and inform the user of the arrival time of his transport. The transport is paid for via the mobile application, that is cashless, and according to the distance covered.

Initially, only the basic service was supposed to be available in Slovenia, i.e UberX, which in practice means that only those who have a vehicle will be able to offer transport for a maximum of four passengers and is younger than the year 2000 (Year 2001 plus). How will our taxi drivers react to the arrival of Uber? In croatia at first there was a lot of protest from taxi drivers, but many of them then switched to Uber ("if you can't beat them, join them"), Tremac explained, adding in the same breath that because of the Uber service the demand for taxis is not declining and that an Uber vehicle replaces already six private vehicles, which means that it greatly contributes to the reduction of the city's load with sheet metal.
