On November 22, "Severnica", the first album of the acoustic folk rock band Čedahuči, will officially see the light of day. Slovenian musicians will accompany the release with a dreamy concert in Zlate Zob.
Group Chedahuchi, consisting of: Andrej Ilar (accordion), Blaž Učakar (vocals, guitar), Danijel Bogataj (violin), Ivan Zuliani (drums), Matjaž Jakin (electric guitar), Miha Lampe (bass guitar), Romana Prosenc (vocals) , was formed in January 2013. In April of the same year, they released their debut mini-album with five songs "Cedahuchi EP", and their first album will be released on November 22 "Northern". Čedahuchi will accompany the album's release with a dreamy concert in To the Golden Tooth.
Although I would Cedahuchije can be classified among folk rock groups, the boys and girls do not limit themselves by genre and say that currently the main building blocks of their band's characteristic sound are polyphony and acoustic sound. In addition to vocals, this is characterized by the use of piano accordion by Andrej Ilar, violin by Danijel Bogataj, electric guitar, banjo and trumpet by Matjaž Jakin. The gentle female backing vocals of Romana Prosenc, who occasionally turns into the main one, also add their charm. The rhythm section also deserves special attention, as the creative playing of drummer Ivan Zuliani is perfectly complemented by the double bass or the electric bass guitar of Miha Lampet. All lyrics are written in Slovenian, written by guitarist and lead vocalist Blaž Učakar.
It is especially important for the group to develop as an author and arranger, and not to worry about style, but only to enjoy the music they perform. It is the great desire and motivation of all members of the group that the audience can enjoy it. The Čedahučians want to offer the local music public quality music that would stand the test of time and find its place among music lovers all over Slovenia. The group also works closely with musicians: Gal Gjurin, Severo Gjurin, Andraž Gartner and the group 2B, who are part of the same musical family in the HAD record company.
