Kubo and the Two Strings is an animated film from the Laika animation studio, which has the status of one of the most innovative studios of its kind. Although their "biography" is short, Caroline, ParaNorman and Skatlarji quickly launched them into the first league, and they also became audience favorites. Many well-known actors have given their names to the heroes of the latest animation, from Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar) to Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road). It is the directorial debut of Travis Knight.
The story of the animated film Kubo and the Two Strings is set in ancient Japan and tells the story of a boy, Kuba, who cares for his mother, and whose life is turned upside down when the old revenge and he must embark on the "Odysseus journey", on which he must avoid gods and monsters hoping to find miraculous armor, once worn by his late father, a legendary samurai.

To the characters of the film he directed Travis Knight, the son of Phil Knight, otherwise the owner of Laika and co-founder Niko, who previously worked as an animator in all Laika projects to date, was lent by many familiar faces from Matthew McConaughey, Charlize Theron and Rooney Mara to Ralph Fiennes.
