1957: Public supermarkets introduced their range of daily fresh milk delivered around by a saleswoman in a car.

It is quite 'normal' that shops used to have a different appearance. It is not clear, however, why women went shopping en masse with hair curlers or saleswomen drove cars between product shelves.

Today you really can you see many things in shopping malls, a hair curlers galore or of cars between the shelves you won't see.
