The original 1971 Lamborghini Countach was destroyed for the mandatory crash test. 50 years later and after more than 25,000 hours of work, the legendary car rose from the ashes, like the mythical Phoenix.

Lamborghini he resurrected one of his greatest legends. The prototype received a complete restoration Lamborghini Countach LP 500, which was presented to the public for the first time in 1971, at the Geneva Motor Show. Unfortunately, it was destroyed only 3 years later due to the so-called ʺcrash testʺ. To celebrate 50th birthday legendary car, was presented at Lamborghini modern version Countach, which is based on the Lamborghini Aventador LPI 800-4 model. But despite all the hype surrounding the newcomer, they never forgot the old legend.

Polo Storico is a division within Automobili Lamborghini, and its purpose is to restore Lamborghini's older years. To restore the prototype, they needed more than 25,000 working hours, but all of this would not have been possible without an important car collector. The mystery buyer contacted Lamborghini already in 2017, as he was interested in the restoration of the prototype Countach. For the needs of the restaurant, they used original spare parts, added some used ones, and made some completely new.

The restaurant is so accurate that they made replica tires Pirelli Cinturato CN12. The tires are new and have a modern composition, and their tread pattern is exactly the same as that of 1971. The color shade is also exactly the same, Giallo Fly Speciale. They did it at the restaurant 3D scan chassis with a label 001, so that they could correctly determine all the proportions of the renovated body. How much the restaurant cost remains a mystery, but judging by the price of a modern Countach (more than 2 million euros), we can be sure that the number it is not small.
