SOF 2017 (Slovenian Advertising Festival) returns to Kempinski Palace Portorož between April 6 and 7. The program part of the festival, with the main theme 'Human factor in advertising', will bring participants a new perspective on marketing and communication and the broader marketing profession. Years ago, advertising was considered a prestigious profession and in some cases even a part of popular culture, but today it is faced with countless challenges. Even a good idea can fail at countless points if we don't realize how important the human factor is in the multifaceted advertising process. SOF 2017 will focus on self-examination and understanding of the roles of individuals with the aim of raising the profile of the profession and giving it the importance it deserves.
SOF 2017 will once again infuse new optimism and inspiration to the visitors of the central and most important event of the Slovenian communication profession, as this year we can also expect a wide range of local and international speakers. The big stage will host stars like Gregory Roekens, who at Gray Europe deals with the development of technologies that improve the user experience. Dieter de Ridder, Executive Creative Director at AIR Brussels, will guide participants through practical tips for better creative results based on his 20 years of experience. He will also shake the tricks of the industry out of his creative sleeve Harjot Singh, strategic director of McCann Worldgroup Europe, who has worked for some of the most famous brands and agencies around the world. They will also take the stage Luka Bajs, senior songwriter, Gray Ljubljana, dr. Roman Berčon, philosopher, director of the advertising agency Votan Kommunikation and member of the new composition of the Advertising Tribunal, Stamp Drofenik, copyright manager, IMC MP doo, Universal Music Publishing, Prices Grčar, lawyer, Pro Plus and vice president of the new composition of the Advertising Tribunal, Ivona Janjić, Director of Retail, Agrokor Group, M.Sc. Tomato Kosher, designer of visible messages, dr. Marko Milosavljević, associate professor, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Assoc. prof. dr. Andraž Teršek, university teacher, Faculty of Education, University of Primorska in Koper, Peter Zabret, songwriter, Approach, Gregor Žakelj, founder and artistic director, VBG and many others.

He will chair the nine-member jury that will award the best works of the Slovenian advertising industry Gal Erbežnik, consultant for creative excellence at the Institute for Words and Thoughts with more than 20 years of experience in advertising.
