Great mountain
Velika planina is one of the few shepherd settlements still in operation, where you can get to know the traditional local shepherd culture. You can also climb it with a swing from Kamniška Bistrica, then continue the two-seater ride to the top, where a perfect view awaits you. Kanin – Sella Nevea (Na Žlebeh)
At 2,293 meters, Kanin is the highest Slovenian ski resort with a view of the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. You can climb it by cable car, and via Sedel and Prevala you can go down to the Italian side in Sello Neveo (Na Žlebeh). Due to the large amounts of snow, you will be able to ski here right up to the May Day holidays, most of the trails are arranged for more experienced skiers, but the youngest ones are also catered for. In total, the ski area offers as many as 30 kilometers of pistes! With the limited operation of the ski area, there is also a cross-country ski circuit arranged at the top. The price of a day ticket for adults is from 29 euros, and the price of a two-day ticket from 56 euros.
