Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
No, it's not a flying saucer. The Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art overlooks the sea and offers a panoramic view of the bay Guanabara, Rio de Janeiro and Sugarloaf Mountain is unique. Underwater Art Museum - Cancun, Mexico
If you will spend your vacation in Mexico or near Yucatan you must visit the museum of underwater art. The Museum of Contemporary Art MUSA (Museo Subacuático de Arte) is located in waters between Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Punta Nizuc. The authors of the project are Jaime González Cano, Director of the National Marine Park, Roberto Díaz Abraham, president of the Cancun Maritime Association and an English sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. The museum comprises 500 life-size sculptures and is one of the largest and most ambitious underwater artificial sights in the world. Frozen in time, you will see a multitude of women, men and children, immobilized in their actions and caught up in all forms of life: algae, fish, coral and sand. Of course, you can see the museum by diving under the water, like a diver. Local instructors are available to train inexperienced divers.
Messner Mountain Museum - Bolzano, Italy
The Messner Mountain Museum, located on the summit of Kronplatz at 2,275 meters, is dedicated to mountaineers. In the ski center of South Tyrol, the spectacular architecture of the museum, designed by Zaha Hadid, expands your vision to the Alpine peaks Zillertal, Ortler and Dolomites.
