7+ "Budget" smartphones that will reduce your phone bill to 20 euros

To be free it is not tied to the operator cute thing. For phone bill you will be fully (including phone costs) paid only approx 20 euros. And believe me, it's more than great "deal". But what if many of us no longer remember that feeling. We Slovenians are record holders, when it comes to purchasing phones through operators. While the neighbors Italians buy 80 percent of their phones without binding, in our case this relationship is just the opposite. Operators us with benefits they also sell small print. And of course, the devil hides in every good "deal". But that's already material for another record. So if you want quite simply your phone bill drop to a normal level, that is 20 euros per month (including the cost of the phone divided into 24 months), then you need to buy your next phone with no strings attached. That's also why I chose it some of those phones, which are really bad, or are so bad that you'll want your premium phone, which usually makes the carrier bill 50 euros and more, replace immediately.

The vast majority of these smartphones you will not find it with Slovenian operators. They are too cheap and in a way they are not "worth it" in this type of business. Nevertheless, these are exceptional phones, which in many ways can perform their task even better than the standard bearers, these flagships.

Let's take a look at some of the really interesting phones I picked up from the world's largest online retailer, Amazon.

Nokia 2.3 – €119

For the amount something above to hundreds you get a phone that looks modern and works like that. It is already the third generation the reincarnated Nokia brand and their entry model. This brings a good user experience through the system Android One. It's just the right size (6.2”), and here they are 4000 mAh battery, two main cameras (the second is a depth sensor), 4-core processor, 32 GB data storage and 2 GB SHOULDER. Relatively basic, but solid for the price of the device. The phone was launched December 2019.

Samsung A51 – €299

A51 shares a significant part of the design and guts with its "smaller brother" A50, including the screen AMOLED, battery with 4000 mAh and almost identical processors Exynos 9611. This is a pretty decent and modern processor. You can with cameras A51 put in front of everyone "budget" smartphones, as it has as many as four sensors on the back. It is available main camera with 48 MP, an ultra-wide camera with 12 MP, a macro camera with 5 MP and a dedicated portrait camera also with 5 MP. If you "snap" a selfie, the 32 MP sensor will search for details on the face. If we add the premium Samsung brand to this, we get a really good purchase for less than 300 euros. But it is among the "budget" phones one of the most expensive. But also one that practically does not lag behind premium phones in any area. Let's not forget about fast charging, 4 GB RAM, FM radio, and USB-C. The phone was launched in December 2019.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro – €226

Company Xiaomi became anchored in the hearts of Slovenians mainly with the price, which when looking at specifications takes off. These are so good that they are included in price packages that they manage to prepare with their phones, practically unbelievable. So for 226 euros you get a phone that looks way more expensive and comes with some amazing specs. You get a huge battery with 4500 mAh, triple camera (the main sensor can handle as much as 64 MP) and a large screen measuring as much as 6.57". Xiaomi's problem is often support Android, which is not at the level of larger brands such as, for example Samsung or Nokia. The phone was launched August 2019.

Moto G8 Power (5000 mAh) – €229

Motorola stands out year after year as one of the best companies that has focused its full attention on making good cheap phones with Android operating system. Just over a month ago, they presented Moto G Power. And if you're in the market for an affordable phone today, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better one. Inside, there is just 5000 mAh battery, which provides realistic two days of use phone without charging. In a world where we charge our phones in the morning and look for chargers the same afternoon, this is a "wet" dream. 6.4 inch screen enables Full HD, keeps him company Snapdragon 665 and good ones graphics support, which is greatly improved compared to its predecessor. G Power it also has a trio of main cameras, including a 16MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP ultra-wide camera. They process the latter pretty good photo in the phone's price range. G8 drives almost pure Android, the kind you get on Pixel phones with a few tweaks, which is good and will especially appeal to “geeks”! On the other hand, this almost "perfect" phone does not have support for NFC. Which means you won't be able to pay contactless with it. But at the price 229 euros this is really an insignificant piece of information that shouldn't distract you from buying this phone. Among all of them, this might even be the best choice at the moment. The phone was launched in April 2020.

Nokia 6.2 – €179

The most bang for your buck! This makes it practically impossible to ignore this phone. For the price under 180 euros it looks simply amazing, as the rear part is covered by glass, and the bezel of the 6.3-inch Full HD screen is made of high-quality metal. The design is truly premium with thin screen bezels and a minimalist notch. Some other data is also impressive. Three rear cameras, 64 GB expandable memory, 3,500 mAh battery, which you charge via the USB-C input. You also get a special button for Google Assistant and NFC support for contactless payment. Recommended! The phone was launched in September 2019.

Google Pixel 3a – €319

Google is a model 3a managed to pack all the features of his dearer brother Pixel 3. Of course, there are inferior materials and a "more affordable" processor, but the result is almost identical when we look at the proverbial "best" side of pixel phones - photography. The latter offers a famous technology - Night Sight for night shots. The pixel problem is an additional hundredth difference between the Motorola G Power model. It's just not cheap anymore. But anyway Pixel 3a offers pure android experience, software update, etc.. Google he proved that he can work phones. The phone was launched on 05/2019. The new version will be ready this month. But still, 3a is a perfect hit at the current price. 

Nokia 7.2 – €274

It seems that Nokia will deliver in the coming recession the most bang for your buck. Let's leave the details, shall we?! The phone boasts a processor Snapdragon 660, 4 GB working memory and 128 GB internal storage, and everything is driven by the operating system Android One. Some kind of "cleaned up" Android, which he did Nokia prepares together with Google. The essence of this model lies in premium materials that give the phone a sense of prestige, and exceptional cameras that include a huge main camera with 48 MP. You can also choose an ultra-wide camera for the incredible landscape shots or you can record something with a special dedicated depth sensor exciting portrait photos. A phone that is highly recommended and worth every euro! The phone was launched September 2019.

Apple iPhone SE – €479

The cheapest iPhone ever and in all probability smartphone years 2020. It is a kind of "frankenstein" implementation of the iPhone, which took everything good from the model iPhone SE first generation, some iPhone 8, and packed it all together with Apple's new processor A13 and latest generation camera. This way you get a really good phone that fits in USA sale for pines 399 dollars. With us, you will have to pay something for it 490 euros, but if you decide to buy on German Amazon, you will save a few euros! iPhone SE 2020 it also comes with a waterproof standard IP67 and wireless charging. Also highly recommended from a value preservation point of view, as it will be two years old iPhone SE 2 2020 still worth it at least 230 euros! And you'll use the phone longer than Android phones. The beauty of a device that will cost you a third of what you would have otherwise spent on the SSamsung Galaxy S20 or Google Pixel 4, is that it offers 90 percent of the functionality of these phones. Sometimes with some feature, such as for example battery life, even surpasses the best. You may have to give up the highest standards of waterproofing or wireless battery charging, but these are all small things in a way, especially when compared to the price you will pay for the device.

Best buy - the best purchase!

My favorite is the Moto G8 Power, phone that for price 229 euros it really offers a lot of what you get in premium phones. I can recommend this phone to anyone without hesitation.

The decision for the rest in the category of super "budget" phones is certainly not easy. If you want to premium sensations of the best, you will select a smartphone Nokia 7.2, if you want to have the best possible photo, it has Pixel 3a what you are looking for. If you want an extremely cheap phone, then this is it Nokia 2.3 one that will deliver one of the most reliable experiences at one of the best prices by far. For 120 euros, far above expectations!
