A simple book that can solve many things: these are the life lessons that the Little Prince taught us!

It looks like reading for the youngest, but in reality it is wisdom on less than a hundred sheets of paper!

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was born on June 29, 1900 in Lyon. 43 years later, he published his novel in New York The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), which quickly achieved great international success and is, next to the Bible, the most translated book of all time. What is special and interesting about this book is that, although it is compulsory reading for primary school, read or understood completely differently in different periods of life. So this is a book for all ages that you should read when you feel lost or want to remind yourself of those lessons that you actually understood very well as a child. Here are the most valuable life lessons this book taught us.

"All adults were children first. But few of them remember it.”

Children look forward to small things and everything that we later begin to understand - rainbows in the sky, rain, flowers, ice cream, swings in the park, games with friends... Children are curious, they are not afraid to ask questions and they are open - they are not afraid to get answers. Children dream and believe in their dreams, they know how imagination can help them. As children, we knew somewhere inside of us what our purpose in life was, and that is why we should sometimes go back to that period and ask ourselves questions - what filled us with joy, what we looked forward to the most, what we really enjoyed and what wanted to become when we grow up.

"Your rose is important precisely because of the time you sacrificed for it. People have forgotten this truth, but you must not forget it. You are forever responsible for what you have domesticated. You are responsible for your rose.”

We usually don't think too much about the most important relationships we have in our lives - the relationships with our parents, friends and partners. We take them for granted, neglect them or (un)consciously hurt them. We are responsible for the relationships we have invested time in and must continue to give love, attention and time. We should never take the most important people in our lives for granted, we should stay with them regardless of all life circumstances and challenges that life throws at us.

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched. You have to feel them in your heart."

All our lives we try to achieve a certain status and material things, but in reality, everything that truly makes us happy is not material in nature. These things cannot be seen, touched or possessed, but can only be felt - love, freedom, joy, desire, friendship, poetry, home...

"It is much more difficult to judge yourself than others. If you manage to judge yourself correctly, then you are truly a man of true wisdom.”

Countless times I ask myself, why is it so much easier to condemn than to understand? Understanding ourselves leads us to a better understanding of others: if we put ourselves in a situation, we may be able to understand someone else's decision or action more easily. We should not be afraid to rethink our own decisions and actions, because this is the best way to get to our essence, although getting to know our personality takes a lifetime, and this is what makes life exciting. When we admit our own mistakes (in fact, wrong decisions that in each case taught us something and were not without reason), we will more easily begin to understand everything around us.

"Happiness is not in the objects we collect around us. To find it, we just have to open our eyes."

And because of this, collect experiences, not things! Trends change, technology keeps advancing, physical appearance definitely changes with age, but the one thing that really never fades is what we put into our experiences – education, travel, socializing with people, being open to different perspectives , creativity and curiosity. Happiness is all around us, while we try to find it in the belief that we want something that subconsciously we don't really want and (probably) don't even need.
