At one time, foldable phones were the most 'dude' thing in our pockets. We thought it was great when we had to open the phone before dialing the number. Well, then we didn't see them again for a while. Occasionally another appeared, but did not stay very long. But that may change soon.
Apple has filed a patent application for a foldable smartphone or for a folding screen. Rumor has it that k invited the LG company to participate.
At The US Patent and Trademark Office disclosed, that Apple's new phone should open and close like a book. The screen, which should be slightly rounded at the edges, should be assembled LCD, microLED and OLED technologies. The case is said to be made of amorphous metal or material with shape memory.
Well, for now we can only go by rumors and a document released by the US Patent and Trademark Office, but it sounds like fun. But we will have to wait 4 years on such an Apple phone.
