Japanese skateboarder and self-taught sculptor Haroshi has creatively combined his two passions to present stunning and stylish images of pop culture.
It is due to the use of old wooden skateboards Haroshi achieved the unique appearance of his sculptures, which consist of several layers of reclaimed wood. These layers are of different colors, which gives the sculptures a characteristic striped appearance. As he wrote on his website, his artwork is the same as the boards that represent his life. They are a communication tool between him and the outside world.
