The second generation of the Audi A1 Sportback hit Slovenian roads. The design impresses also because it was designed by young designers at the brand with circles. Urban and dynamic!
Audi A1 Sportback will really feel at home in city centers, as it measures in length 4.03 meters, in width 1.74 meters and in height 1.4 meters. And don't let its 'smallness' fool you, it's still a real Audi, with all the premium virtues, heaps of technology and excellent driving characteristics. Only that in this generation, he got rid of the model version with three doors. Audi says that customers have repeatedly chosen the "SportBack" version.
The design of the new Audi A1 can be linked to the Ur-Quattro and Sport Quattro models, and although the A1 is far from rally car, has quite a few design similarities with them. In the rear, the falling roof line and the black color of the roof give it more aggressive look, especially when compared to its predecessor. Otherwise, the various openings have only a cosmetic function... and are there to make the car look a little better. Otherwise, the exceptional C-pillar, which otherwise slightly disturbs the transparency of the car, emphasize sharp corners cropped rear. When choosing the S Line package, however, he will have an A1 larger air openings and a larger rear spoiler. There will be a choice of rims in sizes from 15 to 18 inches. The latter will be available in black or platinum gray color with the already mentioned equipment From Line.
Audi A1 Sportback has for 65 liters a larger luggage space, which in the end applies for 335 liters luggage compartment. It is not a record holder, but the growth is noticeable. If we fold down the rear seats, the luggage space increases to 1090 liters. A wider range of engines will be available for the Audi A1 Sportback, among which we can mention liter 3-cylinder with 95 horsepower and 1.4 liter turbine 4-cylinder with 197 horsepower. The 3-cylinder engine has an available manual 6-speed transmission or automatic transmission S-tronic, while the more powerful version of the engine only has the S-tronic automatic transmission available.
Not only performance and interesting engines, the new Audi A1 is also full of technology. It already has a new one installed Audi Virtual Cockpit, which is actually a customized version of the one we first met in the Audi A8. Standard equipment provides 8.8-inch MMI screen touch upgradeable to 10.1-inch. They are also upgraded security and assistance systems, among which we can mention lane departure warning, collision warning with automatic emergency braking and adaptive or radar cruise control. The new Audi A1 Sportback is already available at Audi dealers.
