Audi TT in the third even faster, sharper and more advanced

The new TT looks even more "eckig" than its predecessor, and the flatter engine cover makes it wider and lower. The front lights will also soon be lit with matrix LED technology.

Audi's smallest 2+2 sports coupe kept its dimensions, but everything else was practically developed anew. Lots of new content and technology inside as well, and customers have a choice of two versions of the 2.0 liter TSI petrol engine, the ultra clean 2.0 TDI and the 310 hp powerful TTS version. Prices start at 38 thousand, the roadster, which arrives in March, is almost a thousand more expensive. Later also the TT RS version.

Audi TT well known to car fans as the entry model to the world Audi's sports phalanxes  or rather the coupé family of models where you 2+2 compartments for a moderate sum, it can offer a concrete measure of sporty driving pleasures, an authentic sporty appearance and correspondingly turning the heads of passers-by and the envy of the neighbors. Even in the third edition, he completely retained the measurements, where the meter indicates the length 4.18 meters, wheelbase but he can 2.51 meters.

But this information is practically the only parallel we can draw with the old, second-generation model, everything else was practically developed anew. The design brings even sharper lines, especially in the image of the front lights and engine mask, and the engine cover is wider and even flatter, which emphasizes the dynamics of the vehicle even more. The front lights seem like they could cut silk, they are so pointed, and even more than that they look "sharp" LED daytime running lights, which has a signature in the form of a double letter L. The special feature, or rather the novelty, is represented by the extra-charged lamps entirely in LED technology, which will soon be joined by matrix LED headlights. From the side, the TT has retained its characteristic shape, and they can boast even more inflated fenders than before rims to size right 20 inches. The shape of the rear is the most similar to its predecessor, which has kept its inflated and rounded shape, while the image of the rear lights with a new graphic image and LED signature.

There are also many beautiful retro details on the body, including the fuel tank cover, and at the rear, in addition to the electrically movable rear spoiler, there is always (at least) a pair of large-diameter exhaust pipes.

Even more changes than on the outside seem to be in the interior, as the passenger cabin received an even more concrete renovation, i.e. the wind of minimalism blew on the center panel, which took away many redundant switches, those for the air conditioning system and, say, the heating of the front seats, but carried into the centers of the air conditioning vents. So the center console is almost ascetic, although the driver and others have everything they need available, and the switches (which take some getting used to at the beginning) are where you expect them to be, at least after a certain time.

The peculiarity is the fact that on top of the center console, even in the case of the navigation device, there is no typical central screen, the role of which has been completely taken over digital gauges in front of the driver. Thus, the passenger can have a slightly more difficult task for the driver when navigating, but the navigation and other information is also easily and beautifully readable from the passenger's side.

The interior is typically Audi, but the modern minimalist style, mixed with excellent ergonomics and materials, surprises. The sports steering wheel is also sportily cut in the third edition, and the details such as the shutters in the vent buttons are surprising.

The TT has made great progress in terms of advanced technology, as it now has many more assistance systems in the form of: audi connect, parking assistance and the side assist, drive select and active lane assist systems. They have prepared for the most demanding audiophiles 680W 5.1 channel audio system recognized brands Bang & Olufsen, whose system analyzes disturbing noise in the interior and adjusts the sound image accordingly.

Completely digital gauges, in addition to classic data (e.g. speed and revolutions), have also fully taken over the role of informing passengers regarding navigation and infotainment.

Two versions can rotate under the front coveri 2.0 liter TFSI turbo gasoline engine, namely v 169 or in the 228 kilowatt version, the latter is reserved for versions TTS, and on the diesel side we find ultra clean 2.0 TDI, which develops 135 kW and boasts only 110 grams of emissions CO2. The gearbox is basically a six-speed manual, but both petrol engines also have sport transmissions S tronic two-clutch automatic and four-wheel drive quattro. The coupe version also shares the range of engines with the roadster, which will officially hit our roads in March, but it is basically 800 to 1,000 euros more expensive than the coupe. Coupe prices thus start at 38.020 on petrol and 38,190 euros on the diesel side, and about 2,500 euros must be added for the automatic transmission.
