After decades of debate about Barbie's harmful, unrealistic body type, Mattel has finally decided to change its famous doll. The Barbie family is thus richer for three new body types: petite, tall and curvy. Each Barbie doll is also available in different skin colors and hair styles.
After countless protests against barbies, psychological studies on the potential harm the doll can cause to little girls, and the push to develop alternative dolls, Mattel finally took action. Here are the dolls Curvy Barbie, Petite Barbie and Tall Barbie.

At Mattel, they hope that with the new Barbie dolls and theirs different body shapes, with different skin colors and hair textures finally a better and above all a healthier reflection of the real world.
