The 52nd Beer and Flowers festival once again brings a varied musical event for all generations and all musical tastes. The festival atmosphere with 4 days of entertainment, 5 musical stages, more than 60 stage performances and a total of 90 events will last from Thursday, July 14, to Sunday, July 17, 2016, at traditional and well-established locations in Laško.
Laško Brewery, organizer and main sponsor Beer and flowers festival, which will take place this year from July 14 to 17, after last year's record year in all respects, has even greater ambitions for this year's edition of the festival event.
Along with a really rich music program, a range of activities, ethnographic and horticultural attractions, sports and entertainment, this year there will be quite a few encouraging changes for the guests. The organizers want, in cooperation with providers, to create a culinary offer as much as possible, which should be in line with the characteristics of typical Slovenian cuisine. The best offer will be upgraded. Guests will be offered a rich selection of traditional and unique types of beer for this year festival mug but we will have to deduct 2 euros.
This year's music program offers an international dimension with recognizable foreign names, and it is also aimed at building recognition of the Slovenian musical identity through all musical genres.

The events on the stages will be opened and closed by local performers. The program on the big stage Golden Horn will be opened by members of the group Taboo. They will also perform on the opening day Voodoo Vegas from Great Britain, Siddhartha, Mi2 and one of the greatest American guitarists of all time Joe Satriani, who will celebrate his sixtieth birthday right in Laško. On Friday, visitors will be entertained Jinx, Happy Ol' McWeasel, a Swedish group Manda Diao, known mainly for the worldwide hit Dance with Somebody, and Big Foot Mom. For Saturday, the organizers promise Flying tramps, a group of four Jay Wood and reunited two years ago right in Laško Bar Rock.
On the stage Jubilee, which is dedicated to folk entertainment and popular music, will perform on Thursday Nasty and Jan Plestenjak. they follow on Friday Igor and Golden sounds and legendary Boys from Praprotno, ManuElla and Gibbons. The stage show on Saturday is not to be missed Back to Black, which preserves the memory of Amy Winehouse, followed by an ensemble Franc Mihelič and Manca Špik.
The stage Club in the municipal courtyard offers music lovers an insight into world and local musical specialties. Thursday is not to be missed Plush 5 with Juret Zrnec, hot parties with the band Leni Kravac and Brazilian groups Emersound. They will open the event on Friday Pathetic, will be followed by a Colombian band Scampida, well Balkan Boys and a Macedonian guitar virtuoso Vlatko Stefanovski with his trio. On Saturday you will listen to one of the most pleasant novelties in the Slovenian music scene - a group Jardier, an international cast Las Cuerdas, always entertaining Eagles and Brazilian musical attractions Pequena Morta.
On the stage Malt DJs will reign supreme. This is how he will perform on Thursday Jack Eye Jones from London, the organizers are announcing a French DJ duo for Friday Lumberjack, and on Saturday an already known one will perform Monom. On Thursday, we will hear the Viennese percussion ensemble at the Laško Cultural Center Louie's Cage Percussion, on Friday there will be a traditional performance of the musical Broadway I Love, followed by performances by bands on Saturday Trium and Octet9.
The special experience of the festival remains Saturday fireworks at 10 p.m. and attendants audio-visual spectacle along Savinja, which is considered the climax of the event.
