On June 6, 2015, the jubilee 20th cycling marathon of Cherries will take place. Last year, 1185 cyclists completed the 108-kilometer route from Ljubljana to Dobrovo, and this year the organizer of the Goriška brda Wine Cellar is expecting four-digit attendance. The record is currently held by 2010, when 200 more cyclists participated than last year. Will the farewell to the teenage years bring record attendance?
Cherries cycling marathon is part of the Slovenian iron repertoire sports events, as it will be on the program this year for the twentieth time. The traditional sports event of the Goriška brda Wine Cellar, which takes place in the complex Cherry festival, a high-profile cultural and touristic event that attracts up to 30,000 visitors annually, is of a recreational nature. Also in 2015, it will take place on "Uhojeni" 108 kilometers long routes on the route Ljubljana - Dobrova namely on June 6. The meeting point will be in the parking lot in front of the Goriška Brda wine cellar at Tržaška 132 in Ljubljana, from where cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the varied route at 8:30 am. The marathon will take place in any weather, because cyclists are not made of "sugar".

Route:
Start (8:30 am): Ljubljana – Vrhnika – Logatec – Kalce – Godovič – Črni Vrh – Strmec – Col – Ajdovščina (35 minute stop) – Nova Gorica – Solkan – Podsabotin – finish (1:30 p.m.): Dobrovo, Goriška Brda wine cellar. The end of the marathon will be at 14:00.
