Major football teams are selflessly helping to solve the refugee crisis

Europe is facing its worst refugee crisis since World War II. Hundreds of thousands of people - most of them from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan - are forced to leave their homes because of the war. In Europe, they are met with both support and hostility. And while leaders on the continent are still trying to resolve the refugee issue, major football teams across Europe are already helping to tackle the crisis. Football will always be a religion in Europe, but these days it proves that some things are simply more important than what happens in ninety minutes on the pitch.

The German government will provide shelter for 800 thousand Syrians who had to leave their homes and football club Bayern Munich follows them. The German champions promised a donation of approximately one million euros to help refugees, and at the same time they will host "training camps" for young people, who traveled such a great distance. The club will also enable the children to learn German, give them football equipment and hot meals. To begin with, both German children and refugee children will accompany the players to the match on September 12. The Bavarians, who have millions of supporters around the world, hope this action will bring the growing refugee crisis directly into the global spotlight.

Other German football teams also joined the charity work. Borussia Dortmund recently gave away free tickets to the match so that even refugees could experience some enjoyment during this relentless and uncertain period. The other teams plan to turn the parking lots in front of the stadiums into refugee camps and organized charity matches. The growing movement in support of refugees also received an additional boost from the national football team of Germany with a video that condemns racism and calls for understanding during this tumultuous period.
And since the good word reaches the ninth village, other football teams, beyond Germany, joined in supporting the refugees.
Spanish Real Madrid also promised a donation of one million euros to refugees, Scottish Celtic however, he donated all the funds from a recent friendly match to support those who were forced to leave their homeland.

Among other things, it was confirmed that they will all teams of the Champions League as well as the European League, donated part of the funds from the tickets to help refugees.
At the moment, the key theme in Europe seems to be uncertainty – not only about refugees seeking asylum, but also about European officials who play a key role in how this crisis plays out in the coming weeks and months. This is precisely why the unwavering support for refugees given by European football teams is so incredibly charming and yet so necessary.
