BMW is making its intentions very clear for the imminent production start of the all-electric BMW X3 with the iX3 Concept, which debuted today at the extremely visionary Beijing Auto Show. The concept and style are definitely related to its brother, which is still powered by classic engines, but there are quite a few visible changes that separate it from it. For example, the new look of the closed kidney grille with iVision Dynamics blue accents. And so we got another concept that will become an electric production model.
About the design BMW Concept iX3 there is little point in wasting words, as it is a typical Bavarian product that is subject to the aerodynamic adjustments that are made possible and at the same time demanded by electrically driven cars.
The iX3 concept he has honed knowledge in his nose BMW's fifth generation of electric drive systems and thus offers performance 270 horsepower (200 kilowatts). Thanks to a large battery with a capacity of more than 70 kWh, the electric crossover can also reach a distance of more than 400 kilometers. Of course, these are only on paper and under ideal circumstances.
If you're in a hurry, you can BMW iX3 connect to a fast charging station, which produces up to 150 kW, thus reducing the time required to charge the high-voltage battery to just 30 minutes. Needless to say, the iX3 is just a concept for now and you can't buy it as such, but we're hoping that it will make it to the production version. At BMW, the year is mentioned in the corridors 2020.
