BMW has finally presented the 4 Series without a roof, which looks even more imposing thanks to the big kidneys. It will hit the roads next spring. Just in time for the new season - topless.
After limousines and coupe and recently introduced models M3 and M4 it is BMW introduced another version series 4 – 4 Series Convertible. As expected, the front part is practically "identical" to that of the 4 series, which after the initial design shock we got used to and some even fell in love with. Big kidneys in the front they give character and show the future direction and courage of the brand to search for its own identity, which, according to many, has been rather lukewarm or sterile in recent years.
BMW 4 Series Convertible got a soft canvas roof again, unlike the hard one on its predecessor. Among other things, this reduces the total weight, while at the same time it is smaller in volume and enables greater utilization of the luggage space. The time to raise or lower the roof is minimal 18 seconds. And you can do all this while driving, up to a speed of 50 km/h.
Compared to its predecessor, the trunk is larger and has a volume of up to 385 liters with the roof up, and the interior is just as spacious as the 4 Series.
It is available 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and it is built into the center console 10.25-inch multimedia screen. Of course, all possible connectivity is available.
As for motorization, gasoline engines are available 420i with 184 hp and the 430i with 258 hp, and of course also M440i xDrive with 374 hp, 8-speed “Steptronic” gearbox, all-wheel drive and M Sport brakes and rims. For diesel fans, the 420d engine is available, which has 190 hp.
If you choose it, choose a new color San Remo Green. This is the "showcase" color you can see in the photos. Prices start at a modest 51,000 euros (Germany) and, of course, with your imagination and playing on the configurator, they fly into the sky.
