The fifth of May is World Pulmonary Hypertension Day, and for this purpose, associations around the world organize events and raise public awareness of the disease. The Society for Pulmonary Hypertension of Slovenia, which is part of the European Association for Pulmonary Hypertension, also organizes the event: Breathless for pulmonary hypertension.
This year, the event will take place on May 1 from 10 a.m. in the form of a mini-marathon (5 km) in Mostec, with various accompanying sports and social activities (6-minute walking test, bocce ball, table tennis, music group Gino & band). Due to their health condition, patients with pulmonary hypertension unfortunately cannot engage in all forms of sports activities, so they want to use the event to draw attention to their disease and the importance of its early recognition. Everyone is invited to the sports meeting to express their support for patients and help raise public awareness of the disease with their participation!
Estimated program of the entire event:
10:00 a.m. - gathering of members of the Society for Pulmonary Hypertension and other participants
11:00 a.m. – 6-minute walk test
11:30 a.m. – musical group Gino & band
14.00 – cross country
15.00 – banquet, break
4:00 p.m. – socializing during sports activities (bowling and table tennis)
