The season of tangerines, clementines and oranges has arrived. However, you may be disappointed when you buy them, as some are dry and tasteless. So how do you know if you really bought a delicious fruit? We reveal four signs that will help you when buying this type of fruit.

1. The weight of the tangerine

Check the weight of the fruit. Namely, the longer a tangerine is separated from the tree, the more juice it will lose. The freshness of the goods depends on the weight, so just check this when buying.

2. Shell

If a tangerine has a dry peel, it means that it has been stored for a long time and has lost its juiciness. The skin of the fruit should be firm and fine.

3. Location of the stalk

Check the location of the stalk. If the place of plucking is white and soft, this is a sign that the fruit is fresh. If it is brown, it is a sign that the fruit is already drying.

4. Leaves

If the tangerine still has a stem and leaves when purchased, then this is an excellent indicator that the fruit is fresh. Lush, green and flexible leaves indicate a juicy product.

If tangerines have green spots, this does not affect their taste and juiciness. The color depends on the temperature of the area where it was grown, so don't worry.
