The history of iconic cars

The first vehicles that could be called cars appeared as far back as 1769, but since experts cannot agree on this, the correct year is 1885, when the internal combustion engine appeared. In contrast to many inventions, this type of car was not signed by an individual, as the contribution of many people led to it via a steam-powered carriage. The first gasoline-powered car is attributed to Karl Benz, who introduced a tricycle with a smaller front wheel that was controlled by a lever in the mentioned year. And if you are a good connoisseur of ski jumping, you know the name all too well Stanka Bloudek, with which we mainly connect the alpine ski jump, ti Bloudk's giantess, whose record (new and old) they hold Peter Prevc and Noriaki Kasai. If practically every Slovenian knows this, not everyone knows that Bloudek is not alone synonymous with jumps, because he didn't just make ski jumps. He also signed the name of the first Slovenian car.

In 1933, he became a co-owner and constructor of the company Auto assembly, which was considered the oldest automobile company in Slovenia. When Bloudek came into ownership, the company was converting buses and making truck bodies. At Automontaza, Bloudek then designed and produced the first Slovenian car to bear the name Triglav. A car with a two-stroke DKW engine it cost 40 thousand dinars at the time, but unfortunately remained in the prototype phase, which was presented to the public years ago 1934.
