Casa Bautista is a secluded beachfront villa in the protected Sian Ka'an Jungle Reserve - a slice of Mexico known for its stunning natural beauty.
The project, which was designed by the architecture office Productora, is entirely driven by them solar and wind energy, and he promises his guests "sustainable luxury". The concrete structure immersed in the jungle offers incredible views of the natural landscape and the Caribbean Sea.
Casa Bautista is connected by a spiral staircase that leads from the natural terrain to the main floor where we find five guest rooms and among others also common dining room. Routes from private jacuzzis they lead straight to the white sandy beach. Then the staircase continues to the roof, where it awaits us swimming pool, outdoor bathroom and separate picnic area. Productora explains that the entire project was made of concrete dyed in a natural blue color, which changes its shades throughout the day - namely, it goes from blue to sunny pink.
Concrete complements in contrast use of wood, which gives a feeling of warmth. Local wood is used for the large terraces that have folding mechanism, which protects the building from hurricanes. "By raising and lowering these heavy elements against the facade, the open and transparent dwelling turns into a robust closed box," the architects explain.
Casa Bautista can accommodate up to 10 guests and is available for rental as well as special events, including weddings. "All-inclusive" stay includes three meals a day, and there are also staff who can for you she buys, cooks and cleans. Once the reservation is made, the concierge sends out a questionnaire where future guests can share their opinion about the menu and address other questions related to their vacation.
