Škis market again this year with a charitable note

The 18th Škis market will unite young people from all over Slovenia on May 7, 2015, on the grassy green of the Kardel platform behind Bežigrad. The ŠKIS Association will once again add a charitable note to the varied musical and cultural events this year, as it will allocate part of the funds collected from the entrance fees to the project "Botrstvo v Slovenia".

"Emona revived" - the Emona doll exhibition is back

At the beginning of April, the exhibition of Emona se vrača dolls opened in the City Museum of Ljubljana. The special feature of the exhibition is that it was not prepared by the curators, but by the fifth-graders of the Majde Vrhovnik elementary school, who participated in the Museum in miniature project. Dolls prepared by preschool and school children and families for the competition of the same name were put on display, and they drew their inspiration from ancient Emona.

Catalena in Cankarjev dom

After four years that have passed since Halloween, Katalena, one of the most important Slovenian bands from that borderland between popular and folk music, between traditional and urban, returns with a new album entitled Enci benci Katalenci. The record is basically intended for children, as it takes counting numbers as its starting point. After a successful recorded album, Katalena is devoting herself to the musical and stage project Enci benci Katalenci in these spring days, which is created under the direction of Ivana Djilas and whose premiere will take place on Saturday, May 9 at 5 p.m., in the Lihart hall of Cankarjev dom.

The World Ice Hockey Championship 2015 is also Slovenian in colour

After most have already put away their winter equipment for this season, the peak of the season is just beginning for hockey players. The national playoffs are being played, and there are only a good three weeks to go until the start of the 2015 elite division world championship in ice hockey, which will once again be Slovenian in color. The competition, this time hosted by the Czech Republic, starts on Labor Day, May 1 in Ostrava, with the second venue being the capital Prague. The grand final will take place on May 17.
