Running event: Dm run for women 2016 - 11th all-Slovenian women's running holiday

On May 28, 2016, the 11th dm run for women will take place, an event that combines recreation, good will, a healthy spirit and charity. As many as 8,300 runners took part in last year's jubilee run, of which two-thirds ran on the shorter, 5-kilometer course, while the rest of the women conquered the 10-kilometer distance. It is not yet known where the run will be held this year.

Anna Karenina ballet to the music of Tchaikovsky at SNG Maribor

On April 26, 2016, the guest theater of HNK Zagreb will perform in the Great Hall of SNG Maribor, performing the ballet Anna Karenina to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Valentina Turcu took care of the stage adaptation of Tolstoy's great novel and the dramaturgy.

Centennial dance - Panda: 30th anniversary concert

The Panda group is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and on this occasion it will give its followers a Centennial Dance concert at the Šiška Cinema. In three decades, Panda has created almost 100 tracks, and the counter is still happily spinning. The creative fire drives forward the six-member team, which has experienced a new renaissance in the last few years and is actively returning to Slovenian stages. Finally, they presented the single Noro, for which they also recorded a video. Tickets for the concert are now available.

Lend Your Leg: Roll Up Your Pants 2016

April 4, 2016 is once again the international day of awareness of the danger of landmines, which takes place under the slogan Lend your leg: roll up your pants. The aim is to educate people about the dangers of landmines and the fight for their ban, and to strengthen solidarity with the victims of insidious weapons that can be hidden even for decades. Rapper/activist Zlatko and multi-practitioner/activist Boštjan Gorenc will be guests at this year's central event, which will be held on Prešeren Square in Ljubljana - Pižama!

The city in miniature, the "coolest" exhibition in the city

A small town is the coolest exhibition, because it was not prepared by museum curators, but by 10- to 12-year-old pupils of the Valentin Vodnik Primary School, who participate in the Small Museum project - a cultural and educational participatory project of the Museum and Galleries of the City of Ljubljana.
