From May 29 to June 4, 2016, the 3rd Drama Festival will take place at the venues of Ljubljana Drama, which will host a selection of the best domestic and foreign productions of the current season. Ten directing poetics, ten stories, ten casts. This is Drama Festival 2016.

From Klagenfurt to Zagreb, from Maribor to Nova Gorica and Trieste. Ten exciting shows in one week. Ten directing poetics, ten stories, ten casts. From 29 May to 4 June 2016 will take place already 3. Drama Festival. This year's festival program of various theaters in the Slovenian capital will mainly consist of guest performances, which are primarily characterized by the central heroines, and an important part of the festival events are also many accompanying events, which will, among other things, focus on the position of women in the theater.

Drama Festival 2016 will begin with hosting a production of Henrik Ibsen Crazy directed by Mateja Koležnik, it will be performed by the Stadttheater from Klagenfurt. Performances will follow: Hinkemann performed by the Zagreb Youth Theatre; Learned women based on Moliere's Learned women performed by SLG Celje; the latest premiere of Drama SNG Maribor Nineteen eighty-one; Madame Bovary, a touching satirical play, performed by the cast of SNG Nova Gorica; Over the grave of stupid Europe will be performed by the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Hare from the River; Wife/Unfading Ship performed by the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb. With staging Ismena, her sister the Slovenian Permanent Theater from Trieste will host the festival. On the left stage you will be able to watch the monodrama again Hamlet directed by Daniel Day Škufca, which will premiere on April 19 at 10:00 PM as part of the Long Live Shakespeare!
