On Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, Maribor will host the fourth, now traditional, microbrewing festival - Makro Beer Fest 2017, a large festival of small breweries, where 30 brewers from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. Visitors will be able to choose from about 100 types of beer, different styles of "pale ale", "indian pale ale", "porter", "stout" and the increasingly popular "sour" and "gose".
The musical Rent, a hit of the New York scene of the 1990s, will come to life on the main stage of the City Theater of Ljubljana in a renovation by director Stanoslav Moša. The premiere will take place on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 8 p.m. on the big stage. Don't miss the musical, which features a variety of sing-along songs and a powerful confessional story. These days, the action comedy The Hitman's Bodyguard (The Hitman's Bodyguard, 2017) has arrived in Slovenian cinemas, starring stars Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson. The film has been at the top of the American box office for the 3rd week in a row, but Slovenians also left an impression on it.
We are in an age of extraordinary progress. Every 10 years, due to progress, society changes in the same way that it changed in 100 years. This is also why the world will change fundamentally in the next 10 years. Primarily due to the extraordinary globalization of services, trade and media, but actually mostly due to the emergence of artificial intelligence, which will be integrated into everyday life. It will change the world the way electricity once did. However, some occupations, which could still be naively concluded to be promising, will disappear completely within 10 years.

This fall, we will also be able to see a movie based on the book of the same name (a best-selling book), which tells the incredible story of August Pullman, a boy who was born with a rather unusual face.
VI. Biennale of Slovenian Independent Illustration will take place in Cinema Šiška and Dobra Vaga from October 16 to November 20, 2017. Biennale of Slovenian Independent Illustration is a periodic event that has been exploring the field of contemporary visual art since 2007.
