CES 2015: Gogoro Smartscooter - Electric Scooter

Gogoro - electric scooter

Taiwanese start-up company Gogoro brings an alternative not only to fossil fuels, but also to the world of alternative powered vehicles, as their electric Smartscooter offers a different power solution. No more charging the battery, just changing the empty one at the gas station with the GoStation kiosk.

The big chock of electric vehicles is mainly time-consuming charging the battery, which is water to the mill for fossil fuel vehicles. And with Gogoro Smartscooter, which covers approximately 100 kilometers in a breath and is otherwise electric scooter, this can change, as we will not charge it via charging stations or household sockets and also not wasting precious time, which is a non-renewable resource just like oil. And we lack both, so a solution had to be found. Gogor managed to do that.

The batteries are located under the seat.

Scooter for urban environment namely, it uses the system exchanging an empty battery for a full one and not charging. The company therefore plans to establish a network of kiosks in major cities GoStations (the batteries were developed together with Panasonic), which will be used by pubs gas stations. After the exchange, the empty ones will be filled in peace while waiting for the new host.

The final speed of the Smartscooter is said to be approaching 100 km/h (like, for example, the Vespa 946 can do), which means that it will have no problem competing with its petrol brothers. 4.2 seconds to 50 km/h but he testifies that he is also very lively. Combined with a futuristic design (equipped with LED lights; built-in interface Bluetooth, which allows us to do many things right through the smartphone; without a key, only with a white button; the possibility of choosing the sound for ignition, shutdown, turn signals, etc.) and elegant lines, will therefore win the hearts of many motorcyclists. And if you have been blooming in recent years the sharing economy ("sharing economy", e.g. the Bicikelj system), there is no reason why the battery ecosystem should not also come to life ("battery sharing ecosystem”), when the creators of Smartscooter see their system.
