Chevrolet CERV I – ancestor of the legendary Corvette for sale for two million

Chevrolet CERV I

There is virtually no car in the United States more influential and legendary than the Corvette. Even rarer steel horses can claim to be the direct ancestors of the modern Corvette and the test vehicle of Corvette father Zora Arkus-Duntov. But the Chevrolet CERV I, now on sale, can. And if you have two million US dollars lying around somewhere, this might be an opportunity to put them into traffic and own a piece of automotive history. But if you don't have that much money, rest your eyes on this arrow.

Chevrolet CERV I, the car from which the legendary and well-known car grew Corvettes, it is for sale. The only annoyance? The asking price for it is two millions US dollars.

The one and only Chevrolet CERV I.
The one and only Chevrolet CERV I.

It's about completely open race car, whose origins date back to the year 1957. It was made for the mountains the Pike's Peak race, although after 60 (!) runs on the historic track, Dunton found that it is not suitable for such terrains, but for race track. There, however, it was a bit too slow, so the engine "ate" a few more "brands" and eventually it was born from the original model CERV II. CERV I was last restored in 1964.
