A year ago, the Audi e-tron was presented in Geneva, then in a 'camouflage' color. With the presentation of the more compact Audi Q4 e-tron concept, we are now one step closer to one of the final versions of the electric four-seater SUV, which can boast an enviable range and will hit the market in series form next year.
Conceptual Audi Q4 e-tron was one of those cars that was in the center of attention at the Geneva Motor Show and attracted a lot of interest from the audience present. Q4 e-tron should be ready for production by the end of the year 2020, and due to the use of the Volkswagen MEB platform, it should also be more affordable – if Audi will keep the interior of the concept, the battery with capacity 82 kWh and give it an appropriate price, the sale will definitely happen successful.
Audi Q4 e-tron it reminds us of its bigger brother e-tron, but it works more modern and even more advanced. Battery with capacity 82 kWh will store enough energy for 450 kilometer-long journey according to the new globally harmonized test procedure for light vehicles WLTP. They have two electric motors 225 kW (306 HP) of power – the rear has more power, which simultaneously acts as the primary drive, while the front helps with acceleration and when the need arises four-wheeled drive. It will be possible to charge it up to capacity 125 kW/h, 80 % battery will be charged in 30. minutes.
Car exterior Audi Q4 e-tron, especially the sharp lines and strikingly designed fenders unmistakably indicate that it is an Audi brand. The body, covered in paint, is also interesting 'solar sky', which varies according to illumination – the color was developed specifically for the concept Q4 e-tron and reflects the short-wave part of sunlight, which is responsible for heating the surface of the body and consequently the interior. As a result, less energy is needed for the operation of the air conditioning system, which is another of the measures for reduction harmful effects on the environment.
